Cultivating Community offers consulting support for teachers and administrators to create learning gardens and develop garden-based curriculum. We use a variety of curricula to lead hands-on, interactive food and garden programming in school gardens for youth of all ages.

We partner with schools who want to use food and gardens to teach about nutrition, science, math and stewardship. Some of our partnerships include the Maine College of Art, Riverton Elementary, East End Community School, Reiche School, Ocean Ave Elementary, Longfellow Elementary and Presumpscot School.

Cultivating Community supports schools through a range of services including garden installation, technical assistance to teachers and staff, program delivery, and more. For more information, contact Youth Programs Manager Anna Sommo at [email protected]
